We have to acknowledge that MAGA is a cult that has moved beyond simple bigotry. They don’t have compassion for anyone not cis, straight, or white (with some few exceptions) but they have also reached a point where they don’t even have compassion for a straight, cis, white person if they find out that person isn’t also MAGA. It has moved beyond “only people who look like me matter” to “only people who look, think, and act like me matter” which is somehow WAY scarier.
