Remember when Kamala Harris said she would leave trans rights up to the states when asked if she supported trans people. I can’t believe I even voted for her but I had no other option. If the dems don’t run a progressive candidate next election faith 0%

Yeah. Segregation, same sex marriage, and more were all ‘left up to states’ and look how that ended up. Legislators require an executive branch telling them they can’t discriminate.

I hear she's about to announce her run for the primaries... like it should have been last time so democrats could actually democratically pick who the candidate was

I’ve spent the last few years getting more and more educated in politics and the more I learn about her I realize she was just a better option against the fucking bitch in office now but she really isn’t the best option herself :(

So you're just gonna not vote if the candidate isn't 100% perfect and would rather keep the current people in power?

Honestly the best candidate was Cornell West, but he was an independent, neither of the big two

The issue is if we split it too much then people who are more central or on the fence may think it’s too far at first. I agree it should be more progressive but sadly it’s gonna take some time to get there.

I’m really hoping they do an actual primary next time. Kamala was so bad at running a campaign she legit hired Hillary Clinton campaign staff who also ran a notoriously bad campaign you can’t convince me she was actually trying to win anymore as well

and was campaigning across the country with fucking Liz Cheney (an anti-Trump Republican, daughter of war criminal Dick Cheney) and not with actual progressive politicians. Pandering to “centrists” (read: conservatives) won’t do shit. Meanwhile not letting any Palestinian-Americans speak at the DNC while their families are actively experiencing genocide. Corporate Dems (which includes Harris) have the political instincts of a feather caught in a fart. If she runs again, we’re so beyond cooked

from "fundementally nothing will change" Biden to "I wouldn't do anything differently" Kamala it's not about not being "100% perfect" it's the illusion of choice at that point

literally. for a lot of us on here “not-trump” was enough to get us to the polls, but it’s not an electoral strategy. i’m so tired of people acting like a handful of people who didn’t vote because she “isn’t 100% perfect” (which wasn’t even you so idk why #3 said that) was the problem and not the fact that her platform failed to mobilize the democratic base, esp on core issues like palestine, immigration, healthcare, etc.
