would anyone happen to know if I could get started on birth control at the same appointment as my three month check up for T? or would i have to make a different appointment? it’s from planned parenthood btw

it should be okay to at least talk to them about it at your appointment. i can’t imagine why they wouldn’t address it then, but at the very least i’m sure they would schedule you a speedy follow up then and there

Can you call the Planned Parenthood you’re going to, or maybe message your doctors there on MyChart? Usually that’s what I do when I need to ask about changes an upcoming appointment

yea they typically recommend using birth control on T anyway, it's pretty straightforward

my appointment is tomorrow at 11:30 😭 i could call in the morning before i go but i feel like it’d be pointless to call ahead at that point

really? i've been warned against hormonal birth control by pretty much every doctor because it makes t less effective lol

it does but because T doesn't work as birth control and pregnancy on T carries big risks, they want to make sure that doesn't happen, especially in a political climate where medically necessary abortions are widely inaccessible

oh that's fair! i'm on non-hormonal bc personally, i just know all my doctors explicitly told me not to go on hormonal bc and kinda left it at that lol
