
if you can get them to eat wet food that’s great but if they only want dry food, monitor their water intake as cats are naturally dehydrated animals. litter box, make sure it’s clean. if you’re gonna take them outside, either get them used to a leash or only allow them outside in an enclosed area & supervise them. catios are great for this. microchip the kitty in the event that they somehow escape.
it is possible to train cats! for example if the cat loves to scratch furniture it is possible to redirect them to a scratching post, it just may take time. if it's a kitten I recommend trying to get them adjusted to things like being held and getting their nails clipped, it'll save you so much grief later on
