Has anyone here watched “stick” on Apple TV? I just want to know if I’m the only one who feels like the progressive ideas in it feel forced and unnatural. There is just something so jarring about Owen Wilson introducing himself with his pronouns

Every time they have a scene like this or similar to it I’m completely taken out of the storyline. It feels like they put the she/they character Zero in there just for the sake of having a she/they character

I’ve never even heard of it. What is it about, and do you recommend it?

It’s a series about a pro golfer (Owen Wilson) taking on a kid who he sees potential in, but the kid has some kind of bad history with golf so he’s reluctant to get into it. It’s really cute and heartwarming so I’d recommend it for that, but like I said the forced inclusivity takes me out of it often. At least they don’t dwell on it for too long when it happens
