The way people make generalizations about the selfish/ignorant/objectifying behavior of cis straight men with no problems, but the moment you call out a fem gay men for their toxic behavior that is a widespread in the mlm community, it’s a “sweeping generalization” that has “internalized homophobia”. All love to fem gay men in relationships, those not actively searching, or fine with dating fem men, but let’s not sit here and act like there’s not an issue with fems degrading fems into objects.

Sweeping generalization of a group of people in general is bad. That’s not a hard concept. Your second comment doesn’t make sense? You’re not just attacking the whiny ones, that’s the point of a generalization. When you say all fem men are like this, you’re not singling out a specific group of fem men. You’re commenting on fem men in general.

Fine you want a better statement so you can stop holding onto the fact it’s targeting fem men: If you are locking yourself out from a part of the community and not willing to negotiate on other factors outside of feminity/masculinity that may endorse compatibility in other areas, then whining about it is nothing more than insufferable to listen to. Communities that have this pattern should be actively working toward changing that behavior instead of treating it as baseline behavior.
