My AFAB butch came out to me as a trans man. I already knew he wasn’t a girl, but i’ve never liked men. But I’m still just as attracted to him after he came out, so it feels confusing. I love him for him but this feels so invalidating to him.

I also know I would not be attracted to him anymore if he got bottom surgery. i mean like i would still be in love obviously but it would fade a huge amount of physical attraction. same with facial hair. Anyone else been in a similar boat? I feel guilty about these preferences.

I think this means you don’t like men. It is invalidating to your partner, but I understand why you’re still attracted to him. I’d talk to him about what his transitional goals are, but it seems you’re still attracted to him because he looks the same as he always has, and the label is what changed, but with testosterone and physical transition you’ll lose attraction
