its not a bad wlw but when we had euphoria sundays no one freaked out and posted abt jules and rue kissing for weeks, it didnt get attention fr like heated rivalry has rn.

Maybe it’s that you’re expecting a wlw story that holds too many male romantic archetypes. You also gotta consider that wlw shows probably have the smallest potential fan base because I don’t think gay men and especially straight women have a lot of interest in an all female romance movie or show

Idk if blaming it on something vague like society is truly the best thing. Maybe it’s just that most people of their own individual tastes and preferences of what the find interesting to watch and many of them just find other things interesting. I get what you’re saying but I think it’s more a chicken and the egg problem

You’re swapping the cause for the effect. I think that it’s just simply too much of the population simply can identify with the dynamics of a wlw drama. I don’t think a wlw cast and plot dynamics would be successful in getting the same emotional investment that a mlm drama. Often times gay men and straight women find male characters attractive and women love doing self insert in romance (see why 50 shades of gray worked lol) . It’s just very few people can get invested emotionally

Idk what to tell you my dawg. Straight women like what straight women like and the entertainment industry values their opinion the most because they are the best spending customers. If straight women don’t find it interesting no company is just gonna take the risk of investing millions in making a show that won’t be profitable
