PSA (you know who you are): if you pick an argument that ends in you ultimately realizing you were in the wrong and/or missing information, the mature thing to do is to at least acknowledge the other person’s point before you delete everything

chalk it up to my autism if you like, but it drives me absolutely bonkers when people don’t have the integrity to just say “my bad, didn’t see that part” or “oh okay, nevermind, I hear what you’re saying” (etc) when applicable

Bro I do this all the time, like if I have a thought or opinion and my opinion changes and or what I thought was wrong, I’ll say that. I love learning new things and growing as a person

if it’s abt a sensitive topic, sometimes I’ll delete it if people continue trying to argue with me after I already admitted to being wrong.. like they did not get the memo and sometimes it’s exhausting to deal with that

right?? like, frankly my ego is plenty fragile so I understand very well that it doesn’t feel great to swallow your pride on a subject you just got heated over lol, but I also think it’s a necessary social skill to commit to

If this is about the quote post that came from the neopronouns thing I did leave a comment acknowledging I was wrong but it’s entirely possible it and the notification disappeared along with the post when I deleted it before you saw it

I was on here so much this morning that it didn’t occur to me I might’ve just missed the notification 💀 other people pull the silent deletion move on me so regularly that I jumped to conclusions, that’s my bad
