exactly, it’s crazy!! i was talking to my (10-year-old) sister about a genderfluid friend of mine and was using they/them pronouns for him. my sister asked “wait, they?” and it was as easy to explain as saying “some people don’t like being called he or she, they prefer to be called they!” it’s so simple and she understood immediately.

I literally remember when my family was going to a high school reunion and I was so excited to see my favorite cousin and before we left my family was like Ok. Just so you know, she’s a girl now and her name is this. And initially I was confused but I accepted it. Cause why wouldn’t I.
