Being trans isn’t a mental illness, you’re just uneducated Gender dysphoria is a mental condition, but it’s a mental condition that can affect cis people too. It’s not some trans exclusive thing. There’s been documented cases on cis people experiencing gender dysphoria too. And even if I were to agree with you that trans people are delusional (which they’re not) that still doesn’t prove mental illness because delusional beliefs aren’t necessarily a mental illness

The issue isn’t gender dysmorphia, because that’s not the same thing as gender dysphoria. And the best treatment for gender dysphoria in trans people is transitioning And I think everyone should be helping trans people get the needed care they deserve because I think everyone should help people who need help where possible

You know what I can admit when I’m wrong but still although being trans may not be a “mental illness” whats wrong is the stuff about delusions. A delusion is a symptom of a mental disorder by definition, so saying delusional beliefs aren’t tied to mental illness is indeed wrong.

I said they’re not NECESSARILY a sign of mental illness. If someone is really self absorbed, that might be delusional thinking, but it’s not necessarily a sign that they have a mental illness. We don’t diagnose off of one symptom usually But even then this assumes that trans people are delusional for, well, transitioning between genders. Which is not the case. You are tying gender to biology when it’s not. Gender is often associated with sex, but that does not mean they are one in the same

I believe gender ROLES are a social construct but that’s about it. And in my defense a person said that trans women were cooler than biological women first and I just responded to that.
