I’ve seen trans people refer to themselves using those terms, so I would say it depends on whether the person is comfortable with the term. But don’t use the term with someone if they haven’t made it clear they’re ok with it.

this, i openly say i'm afab because i still relate to a lot of the issues that afabs face even though i'm transmasc nonbinary and i'm proud of where i am and where i came from but obviously not everyone feels the same
