Besides the changes being pretty much irreversible that’s why I’m not doing it lol

I know but I have a fear of needles and wish I didn’t have to

I get that, I’m also nervous around needles but I had to start getting my blood drawn for another medication (not hrt) and like it sucks but if it will make your life better it is 1000% worth it

not all of the changes are irreversible! as far as testosterone the only changes that are really irreversible are your voice and bottom growth but everything else can basically go back to how it was before hrt once you stop taking it

I’m mostly worried about the voice and hair tbh 😅 my hair is one of the only things I really like and my voice has a good fem-masc range, I’d be bummed about not being able to sound like a cis woman when I want to

(I’m genderfluid so I want to keep a decent range of presentations)

that’s fair! i will say a big part i’ve noticed of “passing” as far as your voice also has to do with your dialect and tone when it comes to speaking. i’ve been on T for 3 years but if i pitch my voice and speak a certain way i could prob come off as a woman. and for hair many people who have come off T lose the hair loss that can come with it and they’re hair grows back! not to mention you can use minoxidil and finasteride if you’re really worried about it.

the blood work can suck tho so i get that. it’s done more frequently within your first year but after that they only really need it about every six months
