Atp people are just using “he/him lesbians” as a strawman to invalidate the “weird” part of the lgbt community, meanwhile there are barely any actual he/him lesbians. Idgaf what your pronouns or sexuality is, the less time we spend fighting each other is more time to tackle things that actually matter

I don’t mind he/him lesbians, but as a trans woman i kinda understand where the criticism comes from. the issue is less so about trans men, and more about the double standard of queer ppl who exclude trans women but accept trans men for being “afab.” EG queer housing posts that specify “afab only.” He/him lesbians are seen as complicit in the overall community-wide re-emphasis on everyone’s AGAB

I’m a trans guy and I find it super weird when women want to include me because of my birth gender, it ends up making me feel like they only see me for that and not what I actually am.

i've definitely felt and seen this as a transman with a cis lesbian friend. she's a little blind to it and will send me fic and stuff that absolutely butchers trans identity for porn sake with no thought or research, like the author would do anything to distance themself from men or masculinity while taking the parts of transness they like. :/
