also when they don’t acknowledge it’s historical fiction. it’s good but people aren’t going around saying “read queer history” and recommending giovanni’s room, but maybe they should…

oh i love it lol and absolutely agree, i just think there’s a difference between learning about queer history from fiction vs non-fiction and it’s important to remember the distinction.
