I didn’t like how the storyline was handled because I felt like it was beautiful to find romantic love after the death of a spouse and the show made it seem like Fran wasn’t as passionate about John in comparison to the chemistry she had with Michaela, but now I am getting ready to argue with people online that in the shondaverse two women can get a land title and adopt kids while being in love in 1820
Did you hear Benedict is bi? I actually thought they weren’t gonna mention it in season 4 since he would be in a relationship with a woman, but he actually told Sophie (his love interest this season) that he loved her the same way he was “capable of loving a man” and she was totally okay with his sexuality and accepted him
Also there are two side characters who are gay in the companion series Queen Charlotte, the Queen’s valet has a secret relationship with the king’s valet, and I was kind of surprised they made a point to show a gay relationship even if they couldn’t openly be together. There’s a really touching moment that I think about a lot from their relationship, but I won’t mention it because of spoilers lol
