This might sound crazy, but being upset about yall calling fat people “porky” and telling them to “eat a salad” doesn’t stop me from protesting ICE

People are dying. When you could be focusing this energy on the people of color who are being kidnapped and put into concentration camps, youre making this about you and your problems.

Straw Man. Tell me why you think disliking fatphobic jokes = never acknowledging the black and brown people who are being slaughtered ?

You can care about two things at once ≠ “fuck black and brown people! I love ICE!”. You’re grasping at straws to make your argument work

Dislike them all you want, tone policing when we are being slaughtered is a choice. Does it personally offend me when a fat person is made fun of? Yeah. But does my attention seem better spent on an offense or actual deaths? You can care about two things at once but why make it seem like “we are just as bad as them”

it’s not “tone policing” it’s telling people to be not awful about things people can’t help. you don’t know how much op and i may or may not talk about the murders happening because you do not know us personally.

also no one said you’re just as bad as them that’s another strawman

I literally saw someone say “youre just as bad as them if you denigrate peoples weight”. Not a strawman if it literally happened. Whatever you say bro.

did i or op say that? no? then it’s a strawman! go argue with that person, because that’s not what we are saying

Idk man, you seem to care a lot about arguing with this one specific person. I feel like this energy could be better spent against actual perpetrators. You care more about arguing with strangers on the internet than you do about ice kidnapping and murdering innocent people…. You see how that works?
