for context this is my sibling they've been out to me and to basically everyone except family for years. they make a big deal about me keeping their name secret everytime we're around family but will do things like leave out their id card, introduce themselves to people as their chosen name, and a bunch of other stuff like that even my grandmother, who's perhaps the most oblivious person ever has asked me about their name

and for the record I genuinely don't think I've slipped up once in the past five years, I even change their contact name when I'm back home but every-time I see or talk to family I get confronted and asked about their name and if they're trans like I can't saying "I have no idea what you're talking about" it's obviously wearing thin

lol yeah the unfortunate thing is they ignore everyone calls and messages 99% of the time (majority of them kind of deserve it but our mom especially does not) so everyone has realized I'm essentially the only way to communicate with them so idk the whole thing is part of a larger and more complicated situation I guess
