For a bit of context, I’m a gay male attracted to people who are male-presenting. On the sexual side, I’m not attracted to a person with a vagina or a neopenis, they’re just not something I find attractive. On the romantic side, I’m not exactly sure. Part of me wonders if it’s a cultural bias I’ve inherited that I haven’t mentally adapted out of yet (born and raised in a red state).

genital preference is fine, but i think you’re right about cultural bias for the romantic part. But honestly though, the fact that you’re recognizing thats is great, and it means that even if you’re transphobic now i can see you’re willing to put in effort to not be. I personally would say yeah it could fall in the relm of transphobia but its the kind from ignorance not malice
