I was just wondering how you can be Omni and aroace? I understand Omni and ace and Omni and Aro but Omni and aroace? Unless it’s a greysexual/romantic or demisexual/romantic? Not policing your identity, just genuinely curious. Obviously don’t respond if I’m being to personal

aroace means having little to no sexual/romantic attraction (or it’s too conditional to make dating/sex viable), so a lot of people with “little” or hyper-conditional attraction will sometimes pick up another label(s) to define that attraction, even if they’re not “using” it for anything. I call myself aroace since I have very little attraction, but can still find people (mainly other NBs) hot, & having that label makes it easier to avoid confusion lol

Fair. I didn’t consider the “little attraction” part, only the “no attraction” part

a lot of people don’t lol, and it makes sense why people think that. I’ve talked with a lot of other (aro)ace people abt how we experience sex & sexual arousement, and it’s always such an interesting convo. ik one girl who is an absolute freak in what arouses her & she has a high libido, but it’s completely unrelated to sexual acts & she’s averse to masturbating. I’ve heard of other aces who have a fascination with certain sexual situations w/o being aroused by them or partaking in non-sex kink

Yeah, I always want to hear about identities that seem to contradict because it is so interesting to hear but I feel weird asking people because I know a lot of people who ask are trying to invalidate them

idk it’s cool because a lot of aro/aces don’t experience absolutely nothing (though ofc many don’t feel anything at all; I myself feel no romantic attraction at all). but the intensity & conditions of it brings out a lot of diversity of experience. & even for those who feel nothing, we still interact or have interacted with it in unique ways, just like how bisexuals have unique experiences from lesbians. even for those who feel none of it, they still have a unique experience outside of lack

Hi, happy to answer! The aroace spectrum is definitely diverse in experiences, and a lot of people forget that it means little to no romantic and sexual attraction. Personally, I experience low romantic attraction and even lower sexual attraction, or at least I’m very neutral to it. While I don’t really experience romantic or sexual attraction, I still find people attractive in other forms, like aesthetic, physical, and emotional. So while I wouldn’t consider myself omnisexual, the omni part does

My thought process has always been i don't really find anyone attractive sexual or romantic wise, but i'm open to liking any gender. Where the omni part comes in instead of pan is because i think i have a slight preference for women. Also thank you for sounding so open minded! :) i've always had a hard time explaining my sexuality to people
