Being a queer person of color is interesting. There’s a bunch of people of color that are homophobic and then a bunch of white queer people that are racist. Crazy to say the least

And when we try to bring up homophobia/transphobia in our communities we’re told we’re disrespecting our culture or our elders etc etc and when we try to bring up racism in queer communities yt queer folks act like we’re making shit up because they think being queer makes it impossible for them to be bigoted against other marginalized groups. It’s exhausting.
