also most “irreversible” effects reverse to some degree (cuz transition works in both directions). like yeah your body won’t be exactly like it was before trying hrt, but also your body won’t be exactly the same as it is now in six months anyway.

it’s also less of an “all or nothing” decision than it seems like, because dosage strength being left up to you means having some degree of autonomy over the intensity of its effect. maintaining an androgynous appearance is much easier than i anticipated

I’d still consider my breast development irreversible without surgery but I started that like 8 months into hrt

But like yeah if you stop like the results of hrt you can stop the treatment its helped me immensely with my depression

yeah that’s why i said ‘most’ and ‘to some degree’. but going off e/back to t will shrink breasts some (bc of fat redistribution) and like u said it is possible to reverse with surgery. voice drop is the big on that’s irreversible for people going on t, but it takes a while to settle and it’s possible to voice train out.

typically i see people fearmongering abt bottom growth, which does reverse if u go off of t. it doesn’t shrink to the size it was before ever taking hrt (typically) but it will get (many times significantly) smaller. cuz it works on the same principle as transfemmes who take e and experience shrinkage.
