Why do republicans think lesbians as a whole are transphobic? It’s like simply not true

Not just republicans 🤕 ppl apply cishet conceptions of what loving women means to lesbians which boils down to liking women = liking pussy and they dont consider that transfems get bottom surgery either

A lot of TERFS are lesbians, not a lot of lesbians are TERFS. Studies show that lesbians are significantly more transfriendly as a whole than other lgbt groups

It’s the polar opposite. Lesbians are the most trans-affirming demographic there is. 😂

Exactly like I’ve never even met another lgbtqia+ person who was transphobic in anyway or if they exist they are certainly a minority

Unfortunately a lot of lesbian/sapphic events have a problem with being magnets for TERFs

As a transfemme lesbian this is so untrue just last weekend I was called a man in a dress and a brick at a lesbian bar that advertised itself as trans inclusive

Vocal minorities do not detract from the support of the majority.

Do you have anything to back this up or is this just anecdotal evidence. Genuinely asking because lesbian/sapphic spaces feel like where I’ve been judged the most.

Lesbians have always been at the forefront of Queer movements. Incredible supports during the AIDS crisis. I know there are bad actors who will try to make sapphic spaces unsafe but the majority of lesbians are incredibly supportive. I’m sorry you had shitty experiences, that’s not right. It doesn’t mean everyone is out to get you, though.

Not only that but these are from the UK so I don’t feel like that’s representative of either of our experiences

You can keep the mentality all you want, that’s up to you. Anecdotal doesn’t mean all that much, but I’ve never had a problematic experience with a lesbian. Nor has anyone I’ve known. Ask lesbians. They’ll show you.
