I have felt this pain once before, and I will never allow it to happen again. Now I only get a haircut once a year, wolf cuts ftw!! (I am coping and need to convert to bangs at some point 😔)

i genuinely think that i will; the haircut my stylist gave me is so cooked that it had me in tears 😭 (also if anyone saw me accidentally not reply to anyone correctly for the second time you totally didn’t see that)

99% of hairstylists don’t give a fuck what you want, they’ll just do what they think looks good or will “benefit” your hair. it’s why people always complain about being cut shorter than they wanted. the hairstylist thinks you want the damaged ends removed even if you don’t, so they won’t ask and they’ll just go for it. they also don’t tend to cater your cut to the styling routine you have so that you’ll buy more products from them. don’t gotta have that issue if you DIY

Slightly related but hear me out, investing some money in some affordable hair cutting and thinning shears is so much better. Especially for alt looks, thinning shears are a game changer. I have a set of each that cost maybe $15-$20 dollars and I’ve been using them for the past 3 years

i use a dermaplaning razor for mine lmao, higher quality tools can defo be worth it for some cuts, but a lot of alt cuts really benefit from a messy, choppy, done at home look
