Also have we noticed how rick riordan actually included queer people instead of just saying “oh it was an allegory! Dumbledore is gay but only if you look for it”. Riordan actually WROTE gay characters and well at that. Percy Jackson had the first gay person ive ever read in fiction, Nico, and the first poly couple ive ever seen in the Kane Chronicles!! Like aghhh his works are just so good and inclusive

also I saw a post recently where someone asked him "hey so did percy have a crush on luke" and his response was essentially to death of the authored himself and said like "don't ask me, the text is canon, if you can find evidence for it then sure, regardless of my original intent" which is like... based as fuck
