Gay bars, creative/poet meetups (at least for me), furry spaces (trust), places where there’s more millennials & older queers than zoomers

I just use the identity-exclusive communities like the aro/ace space (which is awesome but very inactive), and the alt communities here are great when not overrun by cishet men & people catering to the male gaze ;-;

pretty much every community with potential is either too small or sucks for other reasons. atp I just block people if I don’t want to see their discourse, and it’s worked pretty well

this community is just Execution Clap/French Revolution Reign of Terror 😭 people have no context on anyone else’s beliefs, and will immediately misinterpret ANYTHING to cast the first stone & look good so that the stone isnt cast at them.

I’ve stopped engaging with any discussion here unless it’s just a celebration of queer identity since even I, myself, have fallen into that mindset. it’s so exhausting and I’d rather just read articles on queer theory instead of watching people snarkily argue about the same topics for literal years.
