they’re usually just deluded enough to think that they aren’t being racist, and that we overshot equality with some programs or some shit. Say stuff like “I just don’t think people should get handouts” or “immigrants take jobs from americans” and such.

“immigrants take jobs” is such a tired excuse bc no Fred, the elite college-educated international student did not TAKE the Fortune 500 company CEO job from your uneducated ass 😭 and for the immigrants who are not as educated, they end up doing the jobs white Americans don’t want to do. no one is TAKING the jobs 😭😭😭
