I think it’s because straight women see gay men as safer than straight men, who are perceived as a greater risk? So there is a perceived imbalance in a future/potential friendship between straight men and lesbians. Idk I also agree with Luca but the above is a further explanation of the ways straight and gay men are viewed differently
