My parents pride themselves on not getting a divorce after 28 years but they’ve ruined my life staying together. My mother hates me but my father loves me (I came out), but I had to leave the home. I just wish he’d leave her so I don’t have to be alone.

In Catholicism divorce is considered a major sin so a lot of more devout Catholics stay married even if they hate each other to avoid sinning

Nope my mother just can’t afford to leave my dad since he is the main provider. I know it’s hard to leave when she depends on him so much but now I’m financially struggling at 19 to live on my own
