It dont matter if your attraction is 99% women and the occasional man: YOU AINT SPIRITUALLY A LESBIAN IF YOU LIKE MEN
idk who needs to hear this but you’re not “spiritually a lesbian” if you still let a man nut in you every night…🗿

The main thing concerning here is that the post hasn’t been downvoted into oblivion. We’ve had this discussion so many times

eh sexuality is weird and labels are weird i don’t think a one off makes you not gay same way if a straight guy had a one off with a guy doesn’t make him not straight necessarily

Yes but attraction to man, even one, excludes you from being a lesbian and to suggest it doesn’t is dangerous to lesbians.

idk i think thats kinda unfair and making the label overly restricted. like if a lesbian has a one time experience with a specific guy but isn’t into guys in general that should be ok bc like if any other sexuality experiments or has experiences outside their label that doesn’t automatically change the label

Lesbian history has ALWAYS been more nuanced than this

No. Just no. Experimenting is fine: but true attraction to any man is quite literally antithetical to what a lesbian is.

Lesbian history has included bisexual women— which is why it has been more nuanced. But today’s understanding of lesbian quite literally excludes men and to suggest we could “like one man” is literally just woke homophobia.

Oh boy. What exactly is your source on “today’s understanding?”

when you try to make things strict like this is can get tough like non-binary people technically aren’t women but they can be considered lesbians and lesbians can be attracted to them

Ask any person what a lesbian is. What do you think they would say? Non educated people would say “women loving women”, but as we SHOULD know lesbianism is about gender nonconformity and is an umbrella for non men. Woke homophobia.

Wait until they find out about non-binary men and lesbians who identify as women but use he/him pronouns

Its non men loving non men. Nonbinary people are included in lesbianism and always have been.

then what if you have someone who identified as a man while afab femme presenting does it make someone not a lesbian anymore to be attracted to that person?

Im a he/him butch lesbian 🤨. I understand the complexities of lesbianism but it will never include cis men and to suggest it can is lesbophobicccc

cis men? so it includes trans men? why?

Then maybe say cis men next time or just full on say it’s non men loving non men. Do you see why your post and responses read horribly?

Do you realize thats implicit in this conversation? Sorry i didnt spell it out for you

It’s not implicit if you’re the only one reading it that way

Thats not my place to say but trans men have historically been apart of the lesbian community and they continue to identify as lesbians.

so if a lesbian is attracted to a trans man it doesn’t count suddenly in your eyes? bc now that’s weird why’s it different from being attracted to a cis man

“Called me out” as if some two randoms on yikyak changed my world view 💀 i knew what i was talking about and if you continue to be willfully dense when i simply clarified intent i cant help you. I didnt contradict myself: i elaborated.

Trans men quite often identify as lesbians because they simply can. They are not cis men and to suggest that attraction to them is the same as being attracted to cis men is incredibly harmful 🤷‍♀️ if you want to include cis men in lesbianism so bad, go ahead but you are quite literally dangerous to lesbians.

if you wanna do the blaming game to say it’s cool for lesbians to be attracted to trans men is invalidating and implies you don’t consider trans men under the umbrella of manhood like i do actually think it’s the same in terms of sexuality because they’re all men? and sexuality is based on gender identity?

upvote 21 downvote

Anonymous replying to -> #1 1d

then on TOP of that i said being attracted to a man would be going outside your label not that it’s included lmao just that i think people can have an experience OUTSIDE of the label and it doesn’t immediately excommunicate them

Anonymous replying to -> #1 1d

I literally am not. I am saying TRANS MEN can identify as lesbians because they want to. Not that they have to. I personally would not date a trans man: but my preference for dating does not exclude them from lesbianism. If they IDENTIFY with that label, then they identify with it.
