Sorry but why do some gay men act like they’re more oppressed than lesbians? It shouldn’t even be an oppression Olympics, but if we really broke it down, I wholeheartedly believe lesbians have it worse. If a wlw heated rivalry dropped tmrw, it would flop.

Gay men are KILLED in certain countries Gay men receive the death penalty for “sodomy” while lesbians get far less of a punishment So NO, historically, gay men HAVE been oppressed more than gay women. This is simply a historic fact, and it is ALSO true that gay men TODAY experience more physical violence and physical threats to their safety.

In some countries, gay male sex is illegal (and it carries the death penalty) while gay female sex is fully legal. That should tell you everything you need to know

in those same countries those female babies are rpd and murdered at alarming rates btw. the women don’t receive the same education as their male peers and are still beat to near death if found out that they are committing adultry.

I correctly pointed out that there are countries where being A GAY MAN puts you in more danger. I have family FROM THOSE COUNTRIES. Do you?? I am NOT talking about men and women in general. I am talking about gay men and gay women and their rights. OP falsely said that gay women “have it worse” NOOOO they don’t AT ALL, especially not historically. In the US, lesbians were laughed at and largely ignored but GAY MEN WERE KILLED. AND during the Holocaust, GAY MEN were killed by Nazis. Gay women? NOT killed for being gay.

You can’t make something about gay woman versus gay man without aknowledging the oppression those gay women face for being women. Sorry that’s how the world works.
