What’s stopping a cis man from walking into a women’s bathroom claiming to be a trans man. This whole thing bathroom thing is stupid. It’s basically a non issue and either way if someone wanted to be a creep they could.

Yeah, obviously trans people are being affected the most here, but if I could add my two cents as a cis woman with PCOS — I’m terrified of this spreading elsewhere. I have a deeper voice, excess body hair, and other subtle masculine features because of high testosterone. I take the same t blocker a lot of trans women do. And I know there are thousands, if not millions of other cis women just like me who could now be targets.

feel like most of this isnt for just trans people, but anyone who’s gnc. doesnt matter if youre cis or not, if you look different from how others expect you to look, you will be punished for “opposing” the social norm.

Thing is, predators are treated better than any trans person. There’s a ring of predators running this damn colony. Creeps are the issue, not humans.

Exactly. Predators and abusers will commit their crimes in broad daylight in many cases. They were never going through the whole process of posing as trans women to prey on cis women and girls in public bathrooms

I don’t get if they’re even scared of trans women being creeps or people pretending to be trans to be creeps. It seems like they’re blaming the actual trans people of being weird but why would I be scared of a trans woman going to the bathroom. I don’t get it.

And god knows they don’t even think about trans men or the men’s room

With how often they call trans women and drag queens “pedophiles”, I’m guessing the former. I think the whole idea that cis men are dressing up as women to go into bathrooms is at least one of two things; covering for their bigoted and unfounded ideas, and/or not seeing trans women as real women, and playing down their validity in their gender identity. To them, trans women and cis men pretending to be women are one in the same

Yeah you’re right. Either they think of them as creeps like what you’re describing or “mentally ill and confused” or both. But they have no idea what they’re talking about besides what they see online in their bubbles it seems like.

I’m the exact same: PCOS, but also 6’0 and built like a linebacker. I had to stop posting anything with my face on line because I got horrific comments from people who assumed I was a trans woman. It’s already been implemented in my state as of January, and I just wear a mask in public. I was already immunocompromised and did it, but now I do it religiously to hide any facial hair I didn’t get while shaving. I’m terrified that one day I’ll be accused of it in person.
