I probably shouldn’t say this but I’ve never said it before and just kept this in. I actually hate Christianity. I don’t like God. I was deeply raised with it at the forefront of everything. Read the Bible and God doesn’t sound loving.

I don’t like his views of things. If I was a God I wouldn’t condemn my people I claim to love to hell for simply not fully blindly believing in my existence. That does not make them bad or deserve that. At all. Just the way Christians talk usually is like hate under a thin veil of love that they fully believe comes off as loving. Most judgmental people. I’ve never felt love from God, only fear of hell that kept me in the religion. I overall think it’s a net negative.

Oh, it’s definitely not a loving depiction. When you actually read the entirety of the myth’s text, it’s abhorrent. Contradictions abound, the historical inaccuracies are daunting, and the figures are nothing but abusive and manipulative.

i believe it’s a very christian interpretation of god. there are no limitations to god or religion it’s really what you make of it (or at least imo). i think christians view god as some all-powerful punishing force that controls us all when in reality that’s only conveyed in the bible. it’s been thousands of year since those books were written and at the end of the day it was a human who wrote those, not god. there’s a reason no biblical stories have been written in modern time.

I’m a Christian. If you don’t believe in God then you don’t believe in heaven or hell, therefore it shouldn’t affect you. It’s a religion, and Islam is the same

Not religious, also raised religious, I think God's name got crazy tarnished with Christians. Like when you think of the concept he's nice in theory, and like promoting love is cool, but idiots who don’t realize homosexuality in the Bible was a typo are just crazy. That and lowkey God is geeking with like making people drink the idol and such

i don’t think those stories are meant to be taken at face value. cos that’s all they are. stories. it’s about what you make of it and interpret it as. they are lessons but not rules. we make the rules of ourselves as humans and it’s up to you whether those rules help you become a better and more directed person.

According to the bible, sleeping with another person of the same sex is a sin. I don’t think being attracted to another person is a sin. There are plenty of people attracted to the same sex who are gay because they believe that’s a sin. I believe all sins are equal as the bible says. So saying curse words and being gay is equal in his eyes. It’s a worldly think only condemn one of those which I don’t agree with.

Idk I think the lessons conveyed in some of them are still very much bad. I know they’re the same essence but I tend to not mind the stories about Jesus, but I find so much of God just cruel

That makes me think of even as a kid I would call out my family and other Christian’s for being insanely glutinous and not doing anything to change or thinking anything of it

Like I wouldn’t call out random people but little me would be like why is that deadly sin apparently not a big deal but the others are

Yeah so, if you want to call out sins, make sure you call out every single one. Even your own.

that’s fair. again i think it’s a very christian interpretation of god. like i’m jewish and our most important holiday in the year is about forgiveness, but before you can even ask god for forgiveness you have to ask the people in your life for forgiveness first. also the whole running joke in judaism is that we constantly argue with each other and especially argue with god. i don’t think god ever expected us to be perfect and at the end of the day our failures are his failures too.

Also, I think in the New Testament, Jesus makes a way for all to be forgiven and saved without further sacrifice. This opened up a lot of opportunities and made way for mercy and grace instead of what would be considered justice. God is unchanging, but the circumstances changed.

Exodus 32:20 And he took the calf the people had made and burned it in the fire; then he ground it to powder, scattered it on the water and made the Israelites drink it.

Never said ya didn’t. Yall all say sleeping with the same sex is a win when the verse you all get it from is talking about adultery and you’d know what if you study your book in it’s original language and know the history of editing your Bible when through for the control of slaves and then queer people
