Sex is not a social construct it is determined upon fertilization and is present in all gonochoric species such as humans. Gender is a social construct because it determines your societal roles. Please stop spreading misinformation.

ASAB is a guess by doctors based on one sex characteristic (genitals), and they put you into one of two boxes. that is the premise of binary sexual assignment. sex has never been purely binary, it’s been and always will be bimodal. please do not spread information if you won’t do further research on this topic.

sex is a social construct. human culture(s) developed the concept of it and decide where the boundaries are when defining it. choosing to define it as “determined upon fertilization” is actually a really telling choice—it’s ripped straight from donald trump’s day one anti-trans executive orders. if what you’re referring to is chromosomes, then that is one aspect of how sex is *constructed*, but it was unobserved by humans until ~a century ago. the concept of sex predates karyotyping.

the concepts of “hill” and “mountain” are both based on natural phenomena, however both concepts are social constructs. human culture(s) determine what the signification of the terms are and define their relative meaning, the distinction between “hill” and “mountain” is an arbitrary distinction made by an observing person. same with the phallometer. someone (a doctor, a medical institution) decides that an arbitrary measurement at birth determines someone’s asab. that is social construction.

“female.” lol. nothing that i described pertains to gender. the image i linked is a satirical tool created by intersex activists *based on* the guidelines which were published by medical organizations/professionals. it’s not just about “male penis length”, it’s about the stigmatization of intersex bodies. it is an example of the social construction of sex. sex is a complex multivariable phenomenon. the only one being antagonistic here is you.
