i do not relate to “unfortunately i like men” gays. men can be so beautiful and amazing, their voices so velvety and comforting, their uncontrollable smiles and giggles when you say something they find silly. i love men, and i love loving men.
“Unfortunately i like men” well fortunately i love them, and if you dont want them then that’s more for me

I really do love men. Playful dorks that try to hide their feelings around everyone but you (I mean that in a ‘get shit done’ sense, not a ‘toxically masculine’ sense)

i like men and unfortunately that can potentially put me in more unsafe situations than if i didnt. but i dont want to like women bc if i did then i would

Saying “unfortunately I like men” is something I’ll say sometimes if I’m really frustrated by like a crush or smth, but I genuinely am so glad to be gay and I think men are beautiful and amazing, and so incredibly sweet and cute

i am a trans man and i also experience misogyny. not trying to say they’re not valid, just adding context

then you do realize a lot of people say that phrase specifically bc they’re referring to dealing with misogyny, right? like its not always the case that’s the context I’m most familiar with

Anonymous#52w
they specifically said gay people who say that in the original post

Anonymous#52w
yes i know. i’m not saying that’s not fair. i used to say the same thing, but i realized it only made me feel miserable and hopeless in love, and i have met so many wonderful men, that i choose to be wary of dangerous men, but still embrace my love for them

i am a gay trans man who experiences misogyny, being gay and experiencing misogyny are not mutually exclusive
