I'd like to give you a different perspective on why women enjoy mlm content yes some are fetishizing it but it is so refreshing to see romance and sex on the screen that does not involve women. we are objectified all the time and it's nice not to experience that it's why it's so common for lesbians to have been deeply into some gay ship as teens. it's a safe way to explore your sexuality without being reminded of how everyone in the world views you and your body

i get where this is coming from but you gotta understand straight women have always been into gay ships and the reason they’re into it is usually different than why straight men are into lesbians. granted there are definitely weirdos out there who take it too far.

I think there’s a few reasons why it’s such a refreshing show, outside of the in-your-face sex 1) most shows and movies that center gay people has a tragedy at some point (usually one of them dying). HR doesn’t do that and shows that gay connection is more than just tragic

Idk. A lot of straight women are too homophobic to enjoy gay romance. As a bi dude, straight women treat it as gross a lot of times. If normalizing “oh, not gross that you enjoy other flavors” is a result of women finding joy in this show, I’m all for it.

i personally really enjoyed the show, esp since queer media typically doesn't depict sex. i can see how ud feel that way and im not saying ur wrong, but ur riding on this like everyone else who disagrees is wrong.

2) I’m not well versed to fully expand on this but I’ve seen other smarter people say that wlw has repressed undertones of patriarchy that wlw are always trying to overcome. And then straight couples obv have patriarchal dynamics, but almost never do anything to even acknowledge that that exists in their relationship. But with mlm, the dynamic of patriarchy is present but not something that either gay man is trying to overcome. It’s another version of male privilege that is unique to mlm
