genuine question as someone genuinely curious (a lesbian); are trans men able to be lesbians? I know trans masc are as its identity not their gender; but if you’re changing or believing your gender as non woman are you still a lesbian?

gender and sexuality are fluid, so there’s no right or wrong way for someone to be. their identity is their identity, and transmasc lesbians are valid 👍

Trans masc is an umbrella term that includes trans men

Aren't trans men and transmasc different? Transmasc was a more umbrella term I thought, so sure (if they don't identify as a man but something more mascular). A trans man is a man, no? So id say no to that.

Some trans men/transmascs align with lesbianism! Some don’t as well! Sometimes they were lesbians before transition and still feel like the identity suits them. It’s really a case-by-case, personal preference. But they can be whatever they’d like! If you’re asking bc you’re interested in a trans man/masc as a lesbian, I would suggest just asking them! Hope this helps

To me the issue isn’t non woman bc there are plenty of people who aren’t a woman but can be a lesbian. But a man can’t be.

No fr like ik non binary lesbians exist; i myself dated one and im perfectly okay with that i just get confused when transmen who specifically say they identify as a man however choose to say they are lesbian

I personally think if someone identifies as a man, like an actual man not just someone who uses he/him, can’t be a lesbian. But I’ve also learned that I’m just outvoted on that so I’m just like fine whatever lol

I have seen that, and id say that they're completely invalidating their gender. Some people try to coin terms just to say they're not straight. It's sad. They've transitioned to a man, now if they like women they're straight 😞

What about a gender fluid person. Am I not a lesbian today but get my lesbian card back tomorrow? What about bigender people who are both men and women? Are they bisexual because they’re half lesbian somehow?? Even if they’re not attracted to men at all?

You have to be kidding right? You’re not a man 100% of the time. That’s why you have a label of gender fluid meaning you can be a lesbian

But I am a man. When I’m a man I’m a man.. so I’m asking when I am a man, for months at a time, am I not lesbian anymore.

Did I say you weren’t a man? I said you aren’t all the time. Hence why you label yourself as genderfluid. Genderfluid people can be lesbians

Well you said if someone identifies as a man they can’t. I’m a man. I may be nonbinary later, but I am a man now. And a lesbian

If you're genderFLUID you're not a MAN. You may lean more male or masculine one day but you do not identify as a MAN. You are GENDERFLUID. Can you not get that through your thick skull????

????????? Man and male mean the same thing, I'm just using them interchangeably so I'm not saying MAN MAN MAN all the time. Masc is different. I'm aware of that. TransMASCULINE people can be lesbians, trans MEN/MALES CANNOT. Point blank.

Sometimes I really do hate this community because we're really only against ourselves it seems 🫩🫩. Do you identify as a man (trans or cis) or as genderfluid??? Since your gender CHANGES, I wouldn't want to constantly refer to you as one or the other, no????? That's why your sexuality isn't dependent on your day to day feel, hence why you'd call yourself genderfluid.

You seem to know a lot about me. I’m telling you how I identify and how I use words for MY gender. Please do not try and tell me how I feel

Okay, fine. Say we go that route. You can only be born a male. You identify as a man. You can't identify as a male. This DOESNT MATTER IN THE ARGUMENT. Like, AT ALL.

Males are a sex......... if you are a male WHO IDENTIFIES AS A WOMAN then YES YOU CAN BE A LESBIAN. If you are JUST A MALE, THEN NO. IF YOU ARE A CIS MALE WHO IDENTIFIES AS A MAN, YOU CANNOT BE A LESBIAN. IF YOU ARE A MALE WHO IDENTIFIES AS A WOMAN, SURE, WHO CARES!!!!
