As a cis dude, it’s hard to understand your struggle. And any advice I give is obviously not universal (theres lots of dudes that in no way share my sense of masculinity and I would loathe to hang out with) but to me it sounds like a confidence issue. I’m sure most dudes don’t see you as a freak, but getting in your own head about it won’t help. I’d say to start by looking for shared hobbies. When I was in college I played board games and went rock climbing with my homies

Having shared interests always helps! Do you like sports? Movies? Tv shows? Nature? As for the day to day stuff, just be yourself. Joining a trans friendly club/group would also help.

1. No matter the gender for friendships look for shared interests 2. Men aren’t a monolith, so it depends on the people and group 3. You’re not a freak, but if you get in your head too much, you are going to freak yourself out
