Lately I’ve been thinking about what kept me from realizing I don’t like men for so many years. I think it was me not knowing the difference between finding someone attractive vs. being attracted to them and seeking male validation due to childhood trauma

also the male validation may not be 100% due to trauma and could partly be a side affect of living in a patriarchy but semantics. The important thing is that I’m working on NOT always feeling like I have to impress men, and I can very much feel the difference compared to how I was a few years ago.
