
I think that’s half true. I also think joking about topics, especially ones you have first hand experience with, is therapeutic. Besides, the more something is talked about, even if it’s in a humorous way, the easier it is to talk about it when it really matters. It’s all about how you approach it
I don’t have much of an opinion on the “ED lite” part in specific, but when it comes to like, labeling an extremely common bodily feature as “gross” in a public context (esp one that wasn’t already ED-focused), you should probably consider whether other people in earshot may also have firsthand experience with body image issues. and whether they might find it the opposite of “therapeutic” to be exposed to casual jokes about it
Yeah I agree. I kinda commented it without thinking. In my mind the term “twink” is already so E.D coded because of beauty standards and this whole subtype of gay people whose defining characteristic is being skinny. Regardless of that, making a joke about something specific in this space is probably not the best and I see that.
