Why does everyone always have an opinion on everything in here? Can we just agree as a community to stop debating OTHER people’s identities and try listening to actual people you’re talking about 🫠

I’ve been out all day and didn’t check yikyak till now— it’s so insane yet unbelievably predictable that the exact kind of person I was talking about started an argument in the comments 😭😭 it never fails

This community is an easy target for trolls because people are unable to just ignore very obvious bait because they have to “educate” the bigots

honestly it’s more about the comments than the posts. There’s always multiple people like ‘I’m not <whatever identity> BUT…’ and then proceeds to have a strong opinion on that identity. And then people who actually are that identity will disagree and they will literally tell them they’re wrong about their own identity. It’s so. tiring. and so. common.

I know trans and genderqueer people get this a lot, but I also see it a lot as a lesbian too 😭

since someone’s gonna ask, I’m a pansexual lesbian. it’s a dual label originating from the Split Attraction Model, so no I’m not calling myself just “a lesbian,” since “pansexual lesbian” is distinct from that. and no, my identity won’t make straight men think lesbians are attracted to them, since I don’t tell anyone who’s not queer.

So that’s definitely not a thing

Yeah no you can’t be a lesbian and pansexual that’s not a thing you’re just pansexual. So in this case 100% not valid

Says you. What, are you a scholar of sexuality studies? Did you get a doctorate in Other People’s Inner Worlds? Or are you just some guy on the internet?

have you heard of asexual lesbians? apply the same logic to pansexual lesbians. I experience sexual attraction to all genders, and I experience romantic attraction like a lesbian. looking this up instead of acting like a pundit on queer theory would’ve saved everyone time.

people say the same about trans people, and we can recognize that as a transphobic stereotype. keep reusing bigoted language, I guess. hilarious that you believe the lived experience of other queer people until it challenges your preconceptions.

variorientation is the group that non-aroace aspecs fall into, btw. I know multiple varioriented aspec people irl, maybe you just don’t get out much? engage with your irl queer community and maybe it’ll “exist outside of discord” 💀

Trans and made up labels are not the same thing. You can’t be gay/lesbian and bi/pan at the same time.

Girl I get not wanting to like use the word ‘homoromantic’ and using lesbian instead cus that’s a long ass word and most people have never even heard it before 😭 I went through a phase when I thought I was bisexual homoromantic but then I figured out I’m just a lesbian all around 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩
