Use one hand to pinch the two sides of the rip together and use the other to aim the needle with thread between both pieces of fabric (or both sides of the hole) and make stitches across until it’s closed then tie a knot through the last stitch so it doesn’t slip through and cut! If you keep the nondominant hand pinching the fabric together, you can be more aware of where it is and therefore theoretically not stab yourself

You need to stick it pretty damn deep to REALLY hurt and cause damage so you’ll be fine go watch some YouTube videos “hand sewing for extreme beginners”

Valid! I totally get it, and I appreciate the explanation regardless!! I just have bad coordination when I’m tired, and I stab myself on accident a LOT even when I’m fully awake, it’s a bit of a problem lol
