The way this whole thing wasn't even about passing but it's all y'all seem to think about… my idea of being trans is putting in ANY effort but apparently that makes me a trans transphobic transmedicalist and also a racist somehow

APA definition of transgender. Notice how it does NOT explicitly state you have to identify as the OPPOSITE gender to be considered trans. Non binary people are trans. People who choose not to medically or socially transition are trans. People choosing not to visibly transition does not discount or invalidate your experience. The fact that you’ve made 3+ posts trying to say it does is pathetic. Mind your own business. You don’t have to accept it for it to exist.

no, its not just about passing, because you dont need to pass to be trans or want to pass to be trans. we are calling you a bigot and transphobic and transmedicalist because you are. Your idea of being trans only is relevant and applicable to you, not anyone else

not to mention this thinking completely invalidates nonbinary people

trans people are not required to put in effort to be valid to you. your “idea” of trans is not the only one that exist nor is it the marker for what the identity is. grow up.

we just gonna ignore the fact that cis people don't have to look any type of way to identify with the gender they were assigned at birth? why should trans people have to do more than cis people? that's transphobic. same way thinking women should have to work harder than men for less benefits is sexist and the same way thinking gay couples shouldn't enjoy all the benefits of marriage that straight couples do is homophobic.

i don’t understand binary trans people who don’t give any effort to pass but that doesn’t mean they’re not trans. i just mind my business 🤷🏻

We not talking about non binary people… they can be nonbinary without transitioning so it's not the same as being trans

non-binary quite literally falls under the trans umbrella you can’t talk about trans people without including nonbinary people

Being nonbinary does not REQUIRE any transitioning… the people who do some sort of transition are within the trans label and the people who don't aren't in that label

no, they are both in that label, by definition. your own view on yourself being trans doesn’t override that fact. they are not you and don’t operate on your view so don’t apply it to them

also are you trying to say being trans requires medically transitioning?

Right I almost forgot trans doesn't actually mean anything except for a pronoun change

It means you don’t identify with the gender you were assigned at birth. this has been told to you already

No you don't need hormones or surgery to be trans

also, cis tomboys and femboys exist. why can't trans versions of those also be valid?
