it definitely messed me up for a while (and occasionally still does). overall i try to use my past experiences as a way to make me more understanding of and empathetic towards the issues women face, and i try to call out misogynistic bs when i see it coming from other men

it isn't the only gender that enforces the patriarchy. there's people of all genders who do so, and i just saw it more as me just being able to be more concious of any behaviors that do enforce it so i can snip them.

while trans men can contribute to the patriarchy i honestly don’t think that once you transition you are immediately complicit in it

i use it to my advantage. i grew up a woman, i know what women go through on a daily basis because i lived it. and now i get to use my voice as a white man to speak up for women in male audiences.

I don’t really handle it because I don’t really care. I’m not responsible for the actions of others and I’m not gonna feel guilty for something I can’t control 🤷‍♂️

I mean it’s still important to be aware of the patriarchy, and the role we now play in it as trans men. Especially those of us who are super stealth
