or when it’s a couple of dudes and the comments are “you guys are going to have to be open-minded about this..” the casual homophobia is crazy

we are not here for your entertainment. we are not here for you to sexualize us. we are here simply to exist and love one another, just as any "traditional" straight couple can be seen doing in any context.

post is complaining about straight women fetishizing and self inserting into the lives of gay couples. like they’re joking about voyeurism, being “in the middle”, etc. and it’s gross. icky like straight men fetishizing lesbians. same shit, different font

It’s not really homophobia it’s more of sexualization. Which is still bad, but atleast there not being hateful

Wtf 😭😭 no it’s not, if someone was fetishizing me I wouldn’t feel like they hated gay people, just weird asf. I don’t think being called a f%ggòț and a women wanting to be in a threesome are on the same level. Get a grip

i feel like homophobia is not seeing queer people as equals, so it encompasses any behavior of the sort

Well… not queer, because not every LGBTQ relationship is gay. For example, I’m asexual. It’s def not homophobia, it’s acephobia for me.

The homophobia is because of objectification. They aren’t seen as two people having a loving, happy relationship. They are seen as a sexual object, so much so GROWN ADULTS feel comfortable making that joke under their comments. BL is almost ALWAYS made for entertainment of women in an objective stance. Homophobia is the general ignorance, and lack of treating queer individuals as people

Yeah I don’t necessarily see it as homophobia but definitely sexualizing… especially weird if it’s a father and son

homophobia is simply not seeing people as equal on the mere basis of their sexuality. if you are fetishizing someone for merely being gay, that is homophobia.
