I hate people who act like someone else’s identity is infringing on theirs like,,, would i personally date a trans man who identifies as a lesbian as a lesbian? I dont think so, but does it literally impact me in any way for him to identify that way? Literally no💀

pronouns ≠ gender, so you don’t have to identify as a man to use he/him pronouns; but also trans men have a long history of being included in the lesbian community, it’s only recently (within the last 10 or so years) that we’re excluding them. a trans man’s relationship with their sexuality and gender is their own, nobody else can decide it for them, and if they want to identify as a lesbian still it doesn’t actually hurt other lesbians. just like #5 said, a lesbian doesn’t have to date them +

in order to recognize that their relationship w their sexuality doesn’t impact the lesbian community as a greater whole

y’all please don’t downvote this person for just asking a question. it doesn’t help our community to shun people who genuinely want to learn, it actually hurts us greatly. they asked it very politely
