As someone who uses neos, usually ppl only use them online. Like I’ve ONLY ever had people use them online and have never met someone who uses them irl. It’s just fun who cares? Let ppl have whimsy
I’ve been thinking about this for a while and it needs to be shared. Some of yall are “accepting” until a kid wants to try something new.

I’m probably going to get a lot of hate for this but. If someone only wants to have a specific identity online, they don’t want to be associated with it in real life, and only sees it as fun… is it really something you can call your identity..? Sounds more like an online persona or alter ego, but not necessarily your actual identity.

Its more so that we understand neos are pretty strange to use irl and feel safer using them online, where we can interact with queer spaces more receptive to our identities. I have a set of “normal” pronouns to use irl but only because i hate them the least out of all the normal ones

for something like a fursona, yes that’s typically an alter ego, but pronouns aren’t really a separate identity by themselves

Hmm I see, your explaination is very different to OPs. Everyone is valid regardless and it really none of my business at the end of the day what people wish to hear referred to as. It was just an observation
