I have friends who are Republicans. I don’t have friends who are Trump supporters. The same way I have friends that are Jewish, but I’m not friends with any Zionists. I can be friends with someone and disagree about economic policy or providence. But I can’t be friends with someone who full-heartedly believes some people don’t deserve rights.

we base our friend standards on the lesson our elders have taught us since youth, "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it"

I have a friend who’s married to a conservative Trump supporter and I’ve gotten into active argument with this man where she’s had to tell us both to stop. I still can’t figure out how she ended up with him, she’s not conservative, she’s bi, she Black, her parents are immigrants and get she married this homeschooled white Christian boy who thinks people just hate Trump cus he’s a rich white man 😭

The people who are die hard trump fans “no matter what” have staked their identity to a narcissist who just wants their votes and their approval. It’s parasocial and I feel sorry for them. No one with consistent views on actual policy choices thinks hes the GOAT. Even the ones who are fully white nationalist hate him because he supports H1Bs. It’s fucked up, but I almost respect them more then the glazers. At least they’re honest with their evil selves.
