I truly don’t understand he/him lesbians like I feel like it invalidates so many different groups but I also know that 1. It probably just hasn’t been explained to me well and 2. Why tf are we fighting each other when our rights are being taken away? Bigger fish rn

I think it’s hilarious that this isn’t an issue in the cis gay community. Always the lesbians arguing.

i'm a straight trans man and if someone wants to continue to id as lesbian while using he/him that doesn't hurt me personally, i'd rather focus on more important things

I’m Nonbinary, I’m a lesbian. But we live in a society where only man and women are the genders. I don’t want cishet people to see me as a woman, because that causes me dysphoria. I’d rather be seen as a man. Ie, he him. In queer spaces I know that people will see me as nonbinary, as a lesbian, as queer, and I can still use he him, as those are the pronouns I feel best with. Why would this invalidate anyone. I also lowkey feel like it shouldn’t matter if someone feels invalidated by me. 1

2. A ton of lesbians feel invalidated by trans women being lesbians, but we don’t tell trans women lesbians that they shouldn’t exist because they invalidate others, so why do we do that to people like me.

What, the bickering over labels? The sooner we stop caring what other people think of us the better off we will all be.

No no no you’ve got a point. Gay men spaces are like “you wanna see my cock? Let’s fuck” while lesbian spaces are 99% “actually you aren’t valid bc I don’t like it and I’m in charge”

Literally. Like just be yourself and stop caring about low down shit. Stop caring about what people think of you and stop forcing what you think on others. We have bigger fish to fry, and we’ll all be better off in the long run

The other week there was genuinely an argument on there that sapphic spaces weren’t enough and there needed to be lesbian only spaces. Like girl what 😭 people are still being kicked out their homes and dying over being queer and THIS is what you care about?

It’s just dumb bullshit. Just put down the barbs and have fun. Why are we policing others. It’s like we just wanna so badly replicate hierarchy and impose categories on everyone. Live and let live. We don’t have to be perceived and understood perfectly we just gotta treat each other like humans. Not everyone will understand we just gotta learn to be tolerant and say “you do you”
