the worst part is that so much of media (even by queer people) perpetuate this idea. i can’t even tell you how many lesbian songs are watered down to “cottage core” and liking your best friend. the stereotypes are exhausting 🫩

i hate the misogyny tied to the perception of lesbian relationships. specifically the idea that all lesbians are “pure” and “want to wear pretty dresses and go on picnics” because it’s all traditionally feminine things. let lesbians be freaky, it’s normal

i completely agree. the whole thing is so weird because masc lesbians are immediately clocked as looking “gay” but at the same time, lesbians are portrayed as hyper feminine and borderline trad wife, so make it make sense
